Fall 1999. Over a period of two month, this trip was about discovering a corner of the world that is fascinating in its culture and geography. I climbed 5,000 metre mountains and descended the famous Apurimac River. There were of course the can’t miss sites – the Incas’ hike in Machu Picchu and the beautiful sunset over Lake Titicaca, located 4000m above sea level.
Above all, this trip allowed me to open up to the world. The desire to reveal landscapes and approach others was instilled in me. Now, the only limit to my curiosity and my desire to travel is my imagination.
